「Xpert」という言葉

編集長が「Xpert」という言葉に最初に出会ったのは結核の勉強をしている時でした。GeneXpert MTB/RIF という商品名で培養する変わりに核酸増幅で結核菌の存在やRIF耐性の存在を超短時間で行うものでした。WHOもその使用を勧めているという事を知りました。この検査システムの提供はCepheid社。　さて今回は結核ではなく、AMR耐性菌　carbapenemase-producing organisms（CPO）の検出システムです。
